In the 1970s, she earned a real estate license and opened her own business, Ships Point Realty. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 824.
Odessa was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Kingston Winget; sister, Thelma Campbell; and brother, Billy Webster.
She is survived by a sister, Patsy Elliot; brother, Forrest Webster; half-brothers, Daniel Webster and David Webster; sons, Kingston M. Winget II and William A. Winget II, and their wives, Nancy Winget and Kimberly Bearden Winget; grandchildren, Elizabeth M. Winget, Kingston M. Winget III and Walter M. Winget; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley M.
