Harry M. Croswell, 78, was called to his heavenly home Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018. He was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Gloucester. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Betsy Croswell. Harry treasured his times with his wife, children, grandchildren, neighbors and other special family members.
Harry is survived by his son, Robert Croswell (Karen); daughter, Barbara Loader (Curt); five grandchildren, Samantha and Courtney Croswell, Christopher, Tailor and Elizabeth Hamilton; and four step-grandchildren, Ryan Loader, Adam, Ashley and Derek Martin. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Beverly Hudgins; and many special nieces and nephews. Harry owned and operated Harry’s Decoys for many years, was a well-known carver in Virginia and a supporter of Ducks Unlimited in both Williamsburg and Mechanicsville.
Visitation will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 1, at Nelsen Funeral Home directly followed by funeral service at noon. Harry will be laid to rest after the service in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
