Robert Lee Skipper, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, in the comfort of his home.
Mr. Skipper was born Oct. 15, 1936, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Army, retiring after 20 years of dedicated service.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Marilyn V. Skipper; three sons, Robert Skipper Jr., Harold Skipper and Charles Skipper; two daughters, Carlotta Cawthon and Anita Foster; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 2, with a service following at 7 p.m., at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations. Mr. Skipper will be laid to rest in West Virginia National Cemetery at a later date.
