Gerald Gerard Jones, 80, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. Mr. Jones was born in New York and resided in Virginia Beach since 1978. He was a longshoreman with Atlantic Container Lines and a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Carolyn Hunter Jones; four children, Diane Jones, Doreen Cunningham, Duane Shipp and Kelly Brownell; six grandchildren, Travis and Troy Faye, Keith and Bryan Shipp and Brian Cole and Jessica Brownell; three brothers, Gregory, Pete and Charles; and four sisters Audrey, Lynn, Maureen and Denise.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
