The call of our heavenly Father came for our beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin and friend, Lloyd Kendall Christian, 59, Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. His life began Sept. 16, 1958, son of the late Lloyd T. and Anita L. Christian, in Richmond, Va.

At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Chickahominy Baptist Church. He was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools. He made a career for himself as a Class A Diesel Mechanic in Salt Lake City, Utah. He later worked as a cement finisher with Simon Concrete.

“Kendall,” “Fluffy Cakes,” “The Great One,” among other affectionate nicknames, was a kind and loving human being. No one was a stranger to him. He leaves an unforgettable legacy. We know that our loss is heaven’s gain, and our lives have been made richer because we now carry him in our hearts. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

His loving and precious memories will forever live in the hearts of his loving wife, Linda Sue Christian; daughter, Latasha Jones; son, Randy Matthews (Marchelle); three grandchildren, Jamarie, Jalah and Maliyah; siblings, Valencia Marsh (Calvin), Keith Christian (Brenda), Stacey Christian (Denise), Christopher Christian (Joanne) and Michael Christian (Elaine); mother-in-law, Betty Handshoe; 13 nieces and 10 nephews; 15 great-nieces and 11 great-nephews; six aunts; and other loving relatives and many caring friends.
