The Honorable William Thomas Stone Sr., 87, retired judge, licensed funeral director and owner of Whiting’s Funeral Home, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sara; sons, William, Michael and Christopher; daughter, Jacquelyn; six grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister, Edna; brother, Horace; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Judge Stone may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at First Baptist Church, 727 Scotland St., Williamsburg, after which a visitation and wake will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Whiting’s Chapel, 7005 Pocahontas Trail, Williamsburg. A celebration of life service will take place at noon, Saturday, Jan. 27, at Williamsburg Community Chapel, 3899 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 727 Scotland St., Williamsburg, VA 23185.
