Erna Zagar, 79, formerly of Glendale, N.Y., passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2017.
Born in Yugoslavia, she was the beloved widow of Fred M. Zagar. Her passions were crocheting, cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Ingrid Fisher and Kathleen Bennardo, and her husband, Jerry, of Virginia Beach; son, Fred Zagar Jr. of Virginia Beach; sister, Trudy Matzelle of New Jersey; seven grandchildren, Kristin, Kathleen, Stevie, Nicolette, Michael, Jonathan and Cody; and three great-grandchildren, Mason, Jeremiah and Ryleigh.
A graveside service for friends and family will be held at noon Tuesday, Aug. 22, at Princess Anne Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
