Hazel Hodges Duke Bauernfeind, 92, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017. She was born in Falkville, Ala., to the late Merritt and Mamie Hodges.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Duke; and son, David Duke.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Bauernfeind; daughter, Carol Linhos, and her husband, Bruce, of Lawrence, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Cathy Duke of Ohio; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service.
