Nella Edith Wood Thomas, 91, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
She was the widow of Harry Paul Thomas and is survived by her son, Jerry (Karen).
Edith was born in Ellet, Montgomery County, Va., and lived most of her life in Alexandria, Va. Edith was a woman of strong faith. She was a lifelong Baptist who taught Sunday school and sang in the choir for many years. Edith worked for Delmo Corp. and advanced to become the executive secretary for the president of Evans Distributors.
Edith had many loves — her husband and son, a series of cats, quilting, gardening, yard sale adventures and collections of antiques.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Princess Anne Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1110 N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach.
