Evelyn Trail Conaway, 85, born Evelyn Marie Brazofsky, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brazofsky, died in Virginia Beach Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
A native of Tams, W.Va., and resident of Virginia Beach, she will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many with a smile that could light up any room. Everyone was a friend to her, and she wouldn’t hesitate to engage anyone in a pleasant conversation. She retired after a 20-year career as an employee of QVC.
She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Ray Trail Sr.; and sister, Dorothy Kresse, and survived by current husband, Mr. James W. Conaway of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by her sons, Thomas Ray Trail Jr., and his wife, Karyn, Timothy J. Trail, and his wife, Jill, of Chesapeake and Joseph R. Trail, and his wife, Karen, of Cape Coral, Fla.; daughter, Joanne Trail Ferraro, and her partner, David Skahill, of Norfolk; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Waterford Assisted Living Facility in Virginia Beach for their care and blessings. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
