
Retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Kevin “O.B.” Osterberger, 67, of Virginia Beach, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017. He was born in 1949 in Chicago to the late William and Grace Osterberger.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Osterberger. He was a graduate of Palatine High School in Palatine, Ill., and earned his B.A. from St. Leo College.
O.B. was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family, talk radio, Disney, Chicago Bears and his country deeply. He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Navy for 23 years.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Keiko; their children, William and Kimberly; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; son-in-law, Larry; grandchildren, Connor, Caeden and Colin; grandpups, Kona, Lola, Suri, Piper and Jango; siblings, Mickey and Roger; nieces and nephews; and his dog, Yoko. He also leaves behind many close friends.
A funeral service will be held for O.B. at noon Saturday, Feb. 18, at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Guests are invited to share their memories with the family prior to and following the service.
