
Pauline Milliner, 89, of Virginia Beach made her transition on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, to join her beloved parents, Cyril and Alice Welch; daughter, Juanita Spivey; and grandson, William Gautier.
She is survived by her children, Jane Ray, Christopher (Martha) Gautier, Susan (John) Sidlovsky and Sarah (Charles) Powell; her grandchildren, Becky, Dede, Cherie, Paula, Michael, Anna, Priscilla, Gina, Jesse, Joseph, Jason, Paul, Monica, Chris, Justin, Josh, Todd, Hayden, Taylor, Remington, Andrew, Parker, Lily, Craig and Danny; 37 great- and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pauline was born and grew up in Shrewton, England. She came to the U.S. as a British war bride in 1946 to raise her family. She was a proud and proper British citizen who loved her family, Unity Church of Tidewater, flowers, gardening, British friends, dancing and hats. She always served a proper British meal to all her guests.
The family extends a special heartfelt thank you to Sentara Hospice, especially Caroline and Angela.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Unity Church of Tidewater, 5580 Shell Rd., Virginia Beach.
