Joseph T. Horan, Jr., 44, of Portsmouth, Va., passed away on July 16, 2016.
Born in Portsmouth, Va., Joseph was a painter at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and a life member of V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 3160.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Horan.
Left to cherish his memory are a son, Andrew Horan; a daughter, Betsy Horan; father, Joseph T. Horan Sr. (Pat); sisters, Donna Webster (Emmit) and Lisa Horan; granddaughter, Rain Slayton; nephews, Sean and Nathan Webster; and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, Va. A funeral mass, led by the Rev. Anthony W. Morris, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Church of the Holy Angels, 34 Afton Parkway, Portsmouth, Va. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
