Dorothea C. Mekosh, 82, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was born December 30, 1933, to the late Carl and Maria Johnson in Bronx, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Mekosh.
She leaves behind her sons, John C. Mekosh, and his wife, Julie, of Clayton, N.C., and Timothy V. Mekosh, and his wife, Carol, of Virginia Beach; daughter, Jeanne Butler; and five grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Wittchduck Road, Virginia Beach. Private burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
