
Ronald Glen Trammell, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Ron was born on April 20, 1948, in Cheboygan, Mich. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Doris Trammell; and brother, Bob Trammell.
Ron was a member of Thalia United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of the Moose and the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. Ron was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and was proud to have been a member and support Vietnam Veterans of America in any way he possibly could.
Ron retired from Krispy Kreme Doughnut Company after 43 years of loyal and dedicated service. He had many honors and accomplishments including carrying the Olympic Torch for the 2002 Olympics.
Ron was the most caring, loving and considerate husband, father and grandfather on earth. He always put his family first and his own wants and needs came last.
Ron is survived by his wife of 29 years, Terry; three children including daughter, Deanna Crowthers (Chuck), and sons, Joshua Barnes (Katie) and Matthew Barnes (Dana); five grandchildren, Curt Crowthers, Courtney Crowthers, Floyd Barnes, Carley Barnes and Alfred Barnes; and sisters, Donna Hammond (Warren) and Marie Stover.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of Ron’s favorite charities: The Salvation Army, Vietnam Veterans of America, or Wounded Warrior Project.
