Ruth Rita Maddox, 87, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016. She was born in Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Francis and Delia Gibson.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Maddox Sr.; son, Mike Maddox; sisters; Anne Rust, Kathleen Megna and Joan Scoldy; and brothers, Arthur Gibson, William Gibson, Moe Gibson and Joe Gibson.
Ruth is survived by her children, Warren Maddox, Elizabeth Johnson, Danny Maddox, Deborah Wilton, Tina Morse and Billy Maddox; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and her brothers, Francis Gibson and James Gibson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 3, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
