Roy Kenneth Everts, 80, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at his home. Born in Saratoga County, N.Y., he was the son of the late Kenneth and Betty Everts.
A retired dairy farmer, he was a hardworking and loving father and grandfather. Though his loss brings heartache to his family, they find some comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Peggy Everts; sons, K. Jeffrey Everts and wife Janis, Wayne Thomas Everts and wife Elaine, and Douglas Lee Everts and wife Beverly; daughters, Alice Everts Marks and husband David, Kimberly C. Freitag and husband Bill, and Raegan H.C. Kendrew and Russ Stiles; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
