Bessie Wilson Brown, born on July 28, 1925 passed away on February 1, 2016. Mrs. Brown was born in Ocean View and was the daughter of the late Melvin H Wilson and Georgia Wilson. She was the widow of Kenneth D Brown. She was a graduate of Oceana High School. Mrs. Brown was a Baptist.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kenneth Brown Jr. (Buddy). Also, her sisters Annie Wilson Slayton of Ohio and Eva Wilson Powers of New York.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy B Beegle , son, Melvin W. Brown and his wife Julie Brown, sons, Henry O. Powers and Emmett E Powers all of Va Beach, Her granddaughters Darlene Kay Scott , Crystal Fleeger Wray and Courtney Ulala Brown and her two great grandsons Kenneth Alan Jeffries and Caleb Wray. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday February 5, 2016 at Rosewood Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the home of Bessie Brown.
