Mary Rosser Good, 84,”Maw Maw” went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2016.
Mary was born in Newport News and was a lifelong peninsula resident. She was a child care provider for many children in York County for more than 47 years. She was a member of Seaford Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Bertha Rosser and her husband of 55 years, Carl A. Good, II.
She is survived by her daughters, Fran Johnson of Gloucester; Carol Phillips of Yorktown and Cindy Marshall (Donnie) of Gloucester; 6 grandchildren, Amy, Paul, Mary Ann, Carl, Jennifer, and Donnie; 16 great grandchildren, Damian, Ashley, Dakota, Zack, Patrick, Bryce, Amber, Thomas King, Jessica, Austin, Brady, Chance, Brittany, Donald Lee, Kaitlyn and Nate; and 8 great-great grandchildren, William, Isaiah, Imani, Xavier, Reilly, Felix, Kaleb and Elijah.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2016, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home in Grafton.
Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 17, at the funeral home.
