James ‘Jimmy’ Stanley Wade Sr., 72, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016.
Jimmy was a native of Petersburg and lifelong resident of York County. He attended York High School and was former owner of Wade’s Hess Station, Yorktown and was a retired truck driver with more than 30 years of driving.
He is survived by his daughter, Julie Slater and her husband Doug of Lanexa; two sons, James “Jimmy” Wade, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Seaford and Jerry Wade of Gloucester; eight grandchildren, Mikhail, Rasia, Katarina, James, Erinn, Kyle, Kristyn and Dakota.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. The family will receive friends following the service.
