Barbara J. White Williams, 65, retired from Colonial Williamsburg after 25 years

barbara williamsBarbara J. White Williams was called to eternal rest on Sunday, January 10, 2016, in Envoy of Williamsburg.

Her life began on April 12, 1950, the daughter of Carrie White and the late Elijah White. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Toano, Virginia. She retired from Colonial Williamsburg after 25 years of dedicated service. She was loved by all and she will be greatly missed.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her fiance, Todd Whitaker, one of her sisters, Mary Graves and a brother, Roosevelt White. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her devoted daughter, Corlis Williams; her mother, Carrie White; her sisters, Clara Johnson, Doris Morris (Donald) and Rosa Cotman (Charlie); her brother, Miles White; her aunt, Mary Jones; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016, in St. John Baptist Church, Toano, with the Rev. Reggie Berkley officiating.

Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 201 Forest Glen Drive by noon Friday.
