Cory Eugene Daniels died on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at the age of 38.
A native of Yorktown, Cory graduated from York High School and attended Thomas Nelson Community College. He was formerly employed by Tri-Cities Beverage Corporation and was recently self-employed.
Cory was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jewell Daniels Sr. and his aunt, Wallis Daniels.
He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Dorothy and Jewell Daniels Jr.; his grandparents, Jene and Shirey White and Mary Daniels; his stepsister, Javon Daniels; his aunts, Debra Whitaker (Aaron), Cassandra Dillard (Franklin), Stacy White, Linda Little (Terry) and Elizabeth Daniels; his uncle, Gene White (Molly); his cousins, Jonathan Daniels, Perry Daniels, Travis Daniels, Ericka Whitaker, Brittany Whitaker, Derrick White (Brendy), Gene Carlo White (Sherry), Julian White and Chase Dillard; and a host of other cousins, great-aunts, loving relatives and caring friends.
Cory may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Colossian Baptist Church, with the Rev. Peter A. Evans, officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble one hour prior to the service at 201 Second St.
