Robert James Hasnerl died Oct. 14, 2015, at the age of 87.
He was a native of Chicago, a former resident of South Bend, Indiana and a Peninsula resident since 1973, living in Yorktown for the last 20 years. He retired from Siemens in 2003 at the age of 72 after 47 years. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Frances Marie Hasnerl; daughter, Linda Susan Enall (Robert), of Georgia; grandson, Patrick; and niece, Sandy Diekroeger.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Arlene Diekroeger.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.
