June E. Ullrich, of Williamsburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the Lord’s day, Oct. 11, 2015. She was 82.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1933, in Passaic, New Jersey, daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Clark.

June was a music lover and played the piano and sang in the choir. As a young woman, she often accompanied her father on the violin at church.

She met the love of her life, Frank Ullrich, through music at Hawthorne Gospel Church in Hawthorne, New Jersey. She worked for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. until the birth of their first son. She was a loving, caring and doting wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to everyone who knew her.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed colonial American history. Upon her husband’s retirement in 1992, they both left New Jersey and moved to Colonial Williamsburg, where June continued her love of history and the beautiful state of Virginia that she loved so much. June also loved and enjoyed flowers and gardening.

June was a longtime devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Williamsburg and of Hawthorne Gospel Church in New Jersey for 25 years prior. She served the Lord through music, in the choir and playing the piano. June’s gift of music was a talent given to her by the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her life and memory her adoring husband of 60 wonderful years, Frank; son, David and his wife Haydee, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, William “Bill” and his wife Kathleen, of Rockaway, New Jersey; dear grandchildren, Alexandra and Connor; and her caregivers and special friends, Jennifer, April, Kathy, Corey and Inga.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Faith Baptist Church, 4107 Rochambeau Drive, Williamsburg VA, 23188, with a service immediately following.

Memorial contributions may be given in June’s memory to Faith Baptist Church or to the Bible Broadcasting Network, BBN, P.O. Box 7300, Charlotte, NC, 28241.

Please leave online condolences for the family at Nelsen Funeral Home.
