Robert ‘Bobby’ Edward Willett, 67, became a ‘crabber’ during retirement

Robert “Bobby” Edward Willett, of Yorktown, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at the age of 67.

Bobby was a native of Hampton and a lifelong Peninsula resident. He was employed in the family business of A.J. Construction and Mini Barnes of Virginia until he retired in 1987. After retiring he went to work on the water as a crabber. He was a member of Warwick Moose and former member of the Fleet Reserve.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert J. Willett Sr. and a brother, Charles Terry Willett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dreama S. Willett; son, Robert A. Willett, (Maria), of Newport News; brothers, Albert J. Willett Jr. (Diane), of Topping and William Keith Willett (Debbie), of Gloucester Point; and grandchildren, Juan “Johnny” Willett and Rosa Willett.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Amory Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Doug Echols. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at Peninsula Memorial Park.
