Rodney “Ronnie” Lewis Wallace died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the age of 58.
His life began on July 27, 1957, in Williamsburg. Rodney remained in Williamsburg before settling in Spring Grove. On Feb. 23, 2002, he was united in holy matrimony to the former Thelma Louise Edwards. Rodney was a pillar in the community and loved to work.
Rodney leaves to cherish his precious memories his wife of 14 years, Thelma Louise Wallace; sons, Kreetay Briggs and Rondelle Moore (Rochelle); stepson, Alex Turner; stepdaughters, Kimberly Perry (Carlton) and LaWanda Rogers; sisters, Hester Nicks (John), Joyce Cowles (Floyd) and Deloris Spratley (Leon); 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends.
Family and friends will assemble by 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at Whiting’s Funeral Home for a homegoing celebration beginning at 2 p.m. with Apostle Shelia Simons officiating. Mr. Wallace may be viewed for two hours prior to the service.
