Caroline ‘Carolyn’ Cooper, 95, dry wit, humor was bright spot in the day of others

Caroline “Carolyn” Cooper died Jan. 4, 2015, at the age of 95.

She is survived by a sister, Priscilla Kelly; a daughter, Skip Mollenhauer; and a niece, Carol Hamrick.

Carolyn was born in Canton, Ohio on June 24, 1919. She later moved to Hammondsport, New York and married George Cooper. They moved to Newport News during WWII and later to Williamsburg in 1964. Carolyn had been a resident at Patriots Colony since 2010. She was a bright spot in everyone’s day with her dry wit and humor. She was a wonderful mom, sister and aunt. She and George were married for 70 years and 11 months until he passed away in 2010. Now, they are together once again.
