Maria Alba Carswell, of Yorktown, died peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at the age of 75.
Maria was a native of Panama City, Panama and was a Peninsula resident since 1977. She attended St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. She was a former employee of Farm Fresh and Busch Gardens. Maria was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Bean (Jonathan), of Yorktown and Michele Miranda (Keith), of Mendon, Massachusetts; a son, Dennis Carswell Jr.; grandchildren, Ryan Bean, currently serving in the U.S. Navy, Meagan Miranda and Cameron Miranda; two sisters; and three brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Amory Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Mr. P. Eric Palm. The family will receive friends following the service.
