
Leona Eleanor Jacks died Aug. 8, 2014, at the age of 74.
She was the longtime owner and operator of West Point Florist and was a member of the Eastern Star (#69) for 32 years.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Norman R. Jacks; her son, John Jacks, of Cleveland; and daughter, Julie Jacks Pugh and her husband, Carroll of Aylett. She is also survived by her sisters, Nancy Zears and Ruth Smith, of Riverview, Fla., Diana Kayser, of Plant City, Fla., Lelia Bozart, of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and Joan Perry, of West Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Leona Zears.
An Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, followed by visitation with the family at 8 p.m. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at the funeral home with burial following in Poroporone Baptist Church Cemetery.
