Clifton “Dee Dee” Jackson, of Williamsburg, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the age of 70.
His life began on Feb. 4, 1944, the son of the late Edmonia and Charles Jackson. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alphonza Jackson and his sister, Edmonia Partlow.
His cherished memories will always live through his loving and devoted wife, Gracie Jackson; son, Jonathan Jackson; daughters, Renalda Walker, Simone Jackson and Tracie Gilchrist; five grandchildren; his sisters, Hilda Burrell and Hortense Hilt; aunts, Doretha Millender (Mack) and Mae Wallace; loving companion, Velvet The Cat; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
The family would like to give a special thank-you to Dr. William Massey, III and Dr. John Paschold for their dedicated and compassionate care.
Family and friends will assemble by noon Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, at 504 Hubbard Lane for the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating.
