Otis Lee Jackson, Jr., affectionately known as “Lie” or “Sticky,” died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. He was 75.
He attended Mt. Gilead Baptist Church.
He was born Aug. 28, 1938, son of the late Rosetta and Otis L. Jackson, Sr.
He leaves to treasure his blessed memories his daughter, Inez “Nicky” Jackson-Holloman (Eric); grandchildren, Dontasia Jackson and Elijah Holloman; sisters, Annette Joseph-Walker, Carol Smith and Marcia Darlene Boyd (Vince); brothers, Morris Jackson, Sr. (Annie), Harding Smith and Ronald Smith, Sr.; aunt, Maurice Scott; and many other loving relatives and caring friends.
Mr. Jackson may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2014, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at noon Monday, July 14, 2014, at 125 Church Street for a funeral service, celebrating the life he lived, beginning at 1 p.m. at Whiting’s Chapel with Pastor Johnny A. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.
