Hudson “Huggie” David Hudgins, of York County, died July 8, 2014, at the age of 74.
He was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church who retired from Dominion Virginia Power after 29 years of service. He treasured time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, neighbors and other special family members.
Born in Gloucester on Nov. 5, 1939, he was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Mattie Hudgins and brother, Edward Hudgins.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 50 years, Beverly Hudgins; daughters, Anita Taylor (Keith), Kathy Parnell (Tony) and Christy Zumbrun (Matt); grandchildren, Amanda Taylor, David Parnell (Naomi), Dillon Parnell (fiance, Stephanie Hetzel), Melinda Parnell (fiance, Harrison McGirt), Logan Zumbrun and C.J. Zumbrun; great-grandchild, Jaxson McGirt; brother, James Hudgins; sister, Julia Brown; and many special nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
