Betsy Finch, of Williamsburg, died Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was 54.
She was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2011, but she went on to enjoy three wonderful years with her family and friends. She was a Peninsula resident since 1972 when her family moved from California. She attended Denbigh High School and James Madison University. She worked for the Williamsburg Health Foundation for 14 years and was actively involved in St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
She is survived by her husband, Doug Finch; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Damon Silva; son, Douglas Finch; parents, John and Mary Wood; brother, John Wood; and brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Angela Wood.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 1333 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185. A private interment took place at the St. Martin’s Memorial Garden.
