HAMPTON ROADS — VDOT’s list of full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges and primary roads, and single-lane closures at the bridge-tunnels the week of April 7-13.

Bridges and Tunnels

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, I-64:                

• Alternating, single-lane closures westbound April 8-9 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Single-lane closures eastbound April 10-11 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, I-664:

• Alternating, single-lane closures in both directions April 7-11 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures in both directions:
  • April 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • April 9 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Berkley Bridge, I-264:

• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures westbound April 10 from 7-10 p.m.

HRBT Expansion Project:

• Information about lane closures and other project impacts related to the HRBT Expansion Project.

Elizabeth River Tunnels (Downtown/Midtown Tunnels):

• Information from Elizabeth River Tunnels for maintenance schedules and lane closures on the Downtown Tunnel (I-264), Midtown Tunnel (U.S. 58) and MLK Expressway (Route 164).

I-64

I-64, Southside Widening, High Rise Bridge Expansion:

• Information about lane closures and other project impacts related to the I-64 Southside Widening High Rise Bridge Expansion.

I-64, Hampton:

• Full closure of the off-ramp from I-64 east to Rip Rap Road (exit 265C) April 7-12 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Brief, intermittent stoppages on I-64 in both directions from LaSalle Avenue (exit 265A) and the Hampton River Bridge April 8-12 from midnight to 4 a.m.
• Full closure of the on-ramp to I-64 east from Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road April 9-10 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Long-term, continuous single-lane closure on I-64 in both directions, reducing travel lanes from three to two lanes between Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road (exit 267) and LaSalle Avenue (exit 265A), with I-64 west traffic shifted to the I-64 east lanes. View the full traffic alert.

I-64, Norfolk:

• Full closure of Granby Street southbound from Patrol Road to the I-64 overpass April 7-11 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Long-term traffic shift toward the inside median on I-64 in both directions between Tidewater Drive and Little Creek Road (exit 276)
• Long-term, continuous, single-lane closure on the I-64 west on-ramp to I-564 west

Norfolk, Reversible Roadway:

• Continuously from April 6 at 7 a.m. to April 8 at 3 a.m.
• April 8 from 9 p.m. to midnight
• April 8-12:
  • from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • from as early as 7 p.m. to as late as 5 a.m.
• Continuously from April 12 at 8 p.m. to April 15 at 3 a.m.

Chesapeake/Norfolk/Virginia Beach: 

• Express Lane closed eastbound between the I-264 and I-464 interchanges April 9-11 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Express Lane closed westbound between I-464 and the Twin Bridges April 9-11 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-564

I-564, Norfolk:

• Brief, intermittent stoppages on I-564 west at I-64 April 13-14 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
