HAMPTON ROADS — VDOT’s list of full closures of interstates, ramps, bridges and primary roads, and single-lane closures at the bridge-tunnels the week of Feb. 25 to March 2.

Bridges and Tunnels

Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, I-64:  

• Single-lane closures westbound Feb. 28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel, I-664: 

• Alternating, single-lane closures in both directions Feb. 25-29 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
  • Northbound Feb. 27
  • Southbound Feb. 29

High Rise Bridge, I-64: 

• Brief, intermittent stoppages eastbound Feb. 25-28 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Berkley Bridge, I-264:

• Alternating, mobile, single-lane closures in both directions Feb. 25 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Alternating, single-lane closures westbound Feb. 27-29 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

James River Bridge, Route 17: 

• Alternating, single-lane closures in both directions Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

George P. Coleman Memorial Bridge, Route 17: 

• Single-lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
  • Northbound Feb. 26-27
  • Southbound Feb. 28-29

Elizabeth River Tunnels (Downtown/Midtown Tunnels):

• Information from Elizabeth River Tunnels for maintenance schedules and lane closures on the Downtown Tunnel (I-264), Midtown Tunnel (U.S. 58) and MLK Expressway (Route 164).

I-64

I-64, Southside Widening, High Rise Bridge Expansion:

• Information about lane closures and other project impacts related to the I-64 Southside Widening and High Rise Bridge Project.

I-64, Hampton Roads Express Lanes:  

• Information about lane closures and other project impacts related to the Hampton Roads Express Lanes.

Hampton: 

• Brief, intermittent stoppages in both directions between LaSalle Avenue (exit 265) and the Hampton River Bridge Feb. 24-29 from 11:59 p.m. to 4 a.m.
• Full closure of the on-ramp from Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road to I-64 east Feb. 26-28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Long-term, continuous single-lane closure on I-64 in both directions, reducing travel lanes from three to two lanes between Settlers Landing Road/Woodland Road (exit 267) and LaSalle Avenue (exit 265), with I-64 west traffic shifted to the I-64 east lanes. View the full traffic alert.

Norfolk:

• Full closures of the I-64 east and west on- and off-ramps to Tidewater Drive north and south (exit 277) Feb. 25 to March 1 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Not all ramps will be closed at the same time.

Norfolk, Reversible Roadway:

• Full closure in both directions:
  • Consecutively from 11 p.m. on Feb. 23 until 3 a.m. on Feb. 26
  • Feb. 25-29 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Feb. 26 to March 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Consecutively from 8 p.m. on March 1 until 3 a.m. on March 4
