WILLIAMSBURG — Riverside Behavioral Health Center (RHBC) recently expanded both its Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and its Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
The new expansion to the programs means that RHBC will not only continue to offer in-person treatment to its patients, but now it will also offer virtual and hybrid treatment options as well.
PHP is an outpatient day treatment program that allows patients to continue to reside in their homes while having access to a hospital-based system of addiction and behavioral health care. Additionally, IOP offers expert support for adult addiction and rehabilitation.
“Addiction can feel isolating, but it’s something that impacts so many,” said RHBC Executive Director, Stacey Johnson, in February 2022 when Riverside Health System first added PHP to its list of services/programs offered at RBHC. “That is why our goal is to make patients feel comfortable with seeking help and enhancing their resources for living a healthy lifestyle.
“Through our Partial Hospitalization Program, patients will receive the holistic care they deserve with the reassurance of their support system,” he continued. “We’re confident that the flexibility and comfort this new option offers will encourage more Virginians to begin recovery.”
Patients are assessed for appropriateness to programs offered at RHBC by specialists and are provided recommendations and guidance for ongoing support. The assessment process helps provide a custom plan for every individual seeking these services provided by the health center.
RHBC is open 24/7 for walk-in assessments. For more information on addiction treatment services, call RHBC at 757-827-3119.
