Local Man Succumbs Following Vehicle Crash

GLOUCESTER — A local man has died following a vehicle crash that occurred in Gloucester over the weekend.

On Sunday, May 1, 22-year-old Gloucester resident Aidan Carter-Lewis lost control of his vehicle while traveling east on Glass Road. He then ran off the roadway, first striking the ditch line and then a tree before overturning his vehicle.

Virginia State Police (VSP) have confirmed that Carter-Lewis was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

He was then transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News with serious, life-threatening injuries before succumbing on Monday, May 2.
