YORKTOWN — The York County School Division (YCSD) and *Williamsburg-James County Public Schools (WJCC) have announced schedule changes ahead of expected winter storms.
On Thursday, Jan. 19, *both divisions will hold early dismissal for all of its schools due to the potential for hazardous conditions.
As a result of early dismissal, all athletic and afterschool programs for both YCSD and *WJCC will be canceled. In YCSD, Right at School program and the district’s preschool will also be canceled.

*Additionally, the special WJCC School Board meeting originally scheduled for Friday, Jan. 21 has been rescheduled to Thursday, Jan. 20. A closed session will occur at 12:15 p.m. and an open session of the Board will begin at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in Room 300 in the Annex at the School Board & Central Office located at 117 Ironbound Road in Williamsburg. WJCC notes that the sole topic of discussion for this meeting will be Executive Order Two (2022) and SB1303 (2021). The agenda can be viewed by clicking here.
