Shots Fired as YPSO Responds to Person Barricaded in House

YORK COUNTY — Shots were fired at York-Poquson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) deputies as they responded to calls of a person barricading themselves in a home near the corner of Hornsbyville and Rocky roads.

YPSO received the call at 1:23 p.m. According to YPSO Public Information Officer Shelley Ward, no one was hurt by the gunfire. Deputies are still in the process of resolving the situation.

YPSO is asking that everyone avoid that area until further notice.
