The Smoky Mountains website has released the 2018 Fall Foliage Prediction Map.

They call it the ultimate visual planning guide to the annual progressive changing of the leaves.

Residents around the nation can use the map to find out where and when the leaves will begin to turn.

The map runs through Nov. 19.

A few other things you can keep an eye on with this tracker are average U.S. temperatures since 1900 and the process behind the leaves changing their color.

According to the Smoky Mountains website, as average temperatures continue to slowly increase, their effect on precipitation patterns and weather will have an effect on the brightness and length of the fall color season across the U.S.
