WILLIAMSBURG— The Rochambeau Roadside Inn announced this week that it is now open for bookings.

Renovations and repairs by local Lyle Schiavone began on the Boutique Hotel back in January.

Schiavone, who grew up in Williamsburg, noticed a “For Sale by Owner” sign in front of the property five years ago when his mother was working at Spring Arboure Nursing Facility next to the motel.

That’s when Schiavone started talking with David Bryhn about the property, which had been in the Bryhn family since 1954.

“We are super excited to be open in time for the holiday season, a perfect time of the year to visit Williamsburg,” said owner Schiavone.

The Rochambeau Roadside Inn was recently awarded $5,000 with a $3,512 match by Gov. Glenn Youngkin, part of the Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC)’s Microbusiness Marketing Leverage Program (MMLP).

The owners say the Inn’s mission has always been to create a community in Williamsburg where friends, families and visitors can connect and explore Williamsburg and the Historic Triangle, and it remains committed to honoring the nostalgic charm of the classic roadside motor inn while incorporating modern amenities.
