WILLIAMSBURG — The Local American Magicians Chapter is planning a free magic show at the Williamsburg Regional Library on Oct. 25 as a fundraiser for both Henry 4 Helping Hands of Hope and the Heritage Humane Society.
Henry 4 Helping Hands of Hope recently opened a veterans home in Williamsburg. It creates safe havens where men, women and families in need can find care, vital resources and transitional housing. Its work is made possible through the kindness and generosity of donors whose support allows it to bring hope and healing to those who need it most.
“With local shelters being at an all-time capacity, the help we provide at H-4 is even more critical. We are very grateful for organizations like the local chapter of the society of American Magicians who are willing to help us with this cause,” said Pamala Brown, CEO of Henry 4 Helping Hands of Hope.
The fundraiser will also benefit the Heritage Humane Society, a local independent animal shelter dedicated to rescuing and caring for homeless pets in the community. It focuses on educating the public about humane animal care, advocating for animal welfare and providing affordable adoption services. The organization relies heavily on private donations to support its mission of transitioning stray and surrendered animals to loving forever homes, while promoting responsible pet ownership.
The magic show is free, but canned food donations for both veterans and animals are accepted. Monetary donations from the show will also go toward utilities and rent at the veterans home for the upcoming winter months.
The show will take place in the Grace & Stanley Kitzinger Community Room at the Croaker Road branch of the Williamsburg Regional Library on Oct. 25 at 3 p.m.
