WILLIAMSBURG — Aug. 17 is National Nonprofit Day and Frothy Moon Brewhouse’s Interstellar Impact Market will round up Hampton Roads nonprofits to introduce them to the community.
From 1 to 5 p.m., more than a dozen local nonprofits will be at the brewery to discuss the importance of their work in the local community. The outreach event is being hosted to empower those in the community with information on resources that may be available to them.
“Craft (Beer). Community. Common Good. That’s our motto at Frothy Moon, and on National Nonprofit Day, we’re proud to host the inaugural Interstellar Impact Market. This event shines a spotlight on the incredible work of over a dozen local nonprofits — from 4H Club and the Alzheimer’s Association to NAMI, The Arc of Greater Williamsburg and beyond. It’s a chance to connect, learn, and celebrate the organizations making a real difference right here in our community,” Frothy Moon owner Conor Halfpenny said.
Nonprofits scheduled to attend the market include the Jamestown 4-H Educational Center, the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Parkinson Disease Association, Avalon, CONECT, The DeGood Foundation initiative with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Edmarc, FISH, Here for the Girls, Heroes on the Water, NAMI, No Shame. Period, The Arc of Greater Williamsburg and Thread Local.
The brewery will also be discounting its Lunar Lager to $3 during the event. Fatbellies food truck will also be on-site for the event and the Virginia Shellphish Coalition will play live music from 3:30-5.
