Register for Hampton Roads Giving Day to Unlock 2025 Funding

HAMPTON — Peninsula Community Foundation is urging all Hampton Roads nonprofits to register for the 12th annual Give Local 757.

“This is a critical opportunity for local organizations to significantly boost their fundraising efforts and connect with a vast network of generous donors. In a time of shifting government landscapes and evolving community needs, the support provided through Give Local 757 is more critical than ever for our region’s nonprofits,” the foundation said in a press release.

Give Local 757, scheduled for May 6, has a proven track record of success, it added, with participating organizations raising up to $185,000 in a single day. Registration is $200.

“The regional giving day is an event like no other, as it harnesses the collective energy of the 757 nonprofit community,” Tammy Flynn, Director of Give Local 757, shared. “Especially now, with the changes impacting government funding, it’s the one day of the year where we come together with all our voices, creating a powerful presence that none of us could achieve alone. This allows the nonprofit community to be top of mind for the entire Hampton Roads region during these times.”

Last year, participating nonprofits raised over $1.82 million in twenty-four hours, according to the foundation.
