WILLIAMSBURG — Andreia Anghel, 29 of Queens, New York, and Sandor Anghel, 33 of Hemet, California, are wanted for the theft of jewelry valued at $171,000 from a Williamsburg business on Sept. 16.
Williamsburg Police Department said at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 16, officers responded to a call at a business in the 400 block of W. Duke of Gloucester St. after an unidentified male and female had left the business with $171,000 worth of jewelry that had not been paid for. The suspects were no longer in the area when officers arrived, police said.
The Criminal Investigations Bureau quickly identified the female suspect as Andreia Anghel, who was charged with two felonies — grand larceny and conspiring to commit larceny — on Sept. 27.
Sandor Anghel was later identified with the assistance of Richmond Police, and on Oct. 11, was charged with the same felonies.
The whereabouts of both offenders are currently unknown, police said.
