Waller Mill Park Celebrates 50th Anniversary This Weekend

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg’s Waller Mill Park celebrates its 50th Anniversary this weekend, and the public is invited to join in the celebration.

The first 50 park guests on Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24 can enjoy many of the park’s amenities for free, according to a press release.

The fees for the first 50 boat rentals and disc golf equipment rentals will be waived on both days, and the vehicle entrance fee will be waived for all guests both days. Park guests can also enjoy free commemorative cookies during their visit. 

Located at 901 Airport Road, the 2,705-acre park situated around a reservoir, opened in July 1972.

The park features hiking trails, a disc golf course, picnic shelters, a dog park, playground equipment, a fishing pier, boat and kayak ramps, and a 360-acre lake that is open for fishing and boating. 

Waller Mill Park is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
