York-Poquoson Donates Equipment to Ukraine

YORK COUNTY — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) has over forty units of surplus body armor to send to Lift Up Ukraine, non-profit group that is working to donate survival supplies to the people of Ukraine.

According to a post on the YPSO Facebook page, the Lynchburg Sheriff’s Office (LSO) put out a request for surplus body armor, safety equipment, and medical supplies to help the Ukrainian people.

YPSO Deputy Hollie Flowers made the trip to deliver the equipment.

More than 26 different law enforcement agencies have donated to expired protective equipment. In all LSO has collected more than 700 pieces of armor in the last two weeks.
