Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore locations in Williamsburg and Newport News will reopen Saturday.

The stores are on 1303 Jamestown Road (Williamsburg) and 371 Chatham Drive (Newport News).

The ReStores have been closed since March 16 due to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.

The locations will be open Monday through Saturday with an exclusive “senior shopping window” on Mondays from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Other customers can start shopping after that until 5 p.m, according to a news release from Habitat.

There will be limited customer occupancy per hour; each store’s occupancy will be different.

“When we made the difficult decision to close the ReStores, it was out of concern for the well-being of our staff and supporters. We will continue to keep safety a priority with this reopening,” said Habitat for Humanity CEO Janet V. Green, in the news release. “Staff will wear masks and gloves and shoppers must also wear face masks to enter the store.  High traffic areas such as cashier counters will be sanitized frequently and a Plexiglas shield has been installed at the check-out counters.”

ReStore plans to offer a 25 percent off the entire purchase for all medical staff and first responders, according to the news release.

Medical staff and first responders must present their badge or ID to the cashier.

All other customers will get a 15 percent discount on their purchase.

Shoppers can also now buy online and schedule a curbside pickup of their items.
