HAMPTON — Folks at Peninsula Town Center can expect a new fixture in town.
Axis Apartments, managed by Drucker & Falk, plans to open its complex in mid-February.
“It’s going to be fantastic,” said Tarra Secrest, director of marketing and property development for the apartment management company.
The new 162-unit apartments will feature a mixture of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans with modern touches like an open floorplan and wood flooring. In addition, each unit will have high-end fixtures like stainless steel appliances and granite countertops as well as large windows and 9-foot ceilings.
While several apartments will get a “city feel” by facing the Peninsula Town Center, other apartments will have a “suburban feel” and face a courtyard area, Secrest added.
Axis Apartments, 18500 Merchant Lane, located across the street from the newly built Element Hotel, will also have a 24-hour-fitness center with on demand virtual fitness classes, a resident clubhouse and key fobs.
These new apartments are not to be confused with Drucker and Faulk’s other property, Axis Flats, second-story apartments located behind Studio Movie Grill.
“It’s an ideal location,” Secrest said. “It’s so easy to get on the Interstate.”
The apartments are connected to a parking garage as well.
“You don’t even have to drive anywhere,” she said, adding everything from Target to bars and movie bistros are within walking distance.
The apartment prices have yet not been established but will be considered “market rate” style apartments.
The company started construction earlier this year and plans to pre-lease the apartments starting in mid-December or in early January.
