VIRGINIA BEACH – Police here have arrested two people in connection with the double shooting last week that left a man dead and a woman hospitalized.
Authorities said Carson Carnell Davis Jr., 20, of Virginia Beach is charged with murder, felonious assault and two counts of use of firearm in commission of a felony.
Zaymi Nicole Lewis, 18, also of Virginia Beach is charged with concealed weapon and accessory after the fact.
Both are being held in the Virginia Beach Jail with no bond, according to online jail records Monday.
Police identified the man who was shot to death as Terrence Jerell Houston, 33, of Newport News. The identity of the woman has not been released.
Officers on Thursday were sent to the area of 11th Street and Pacific Avenue around 11:33 p.m.
There, police said they found “two victims” suffering from gunshot wounds. Houston died at the scene, the woman was taken to a local hospital with what police described as “life-threatening injuries.”
Police did not release further details about the incident, citing an open investigation.
